Mills 'n' Moors MTB/Gravel Ride Mastiles Lane (Grassington)

We cross open moorland using public rights of way and whilst 90% of the trails are in good condition and are NOT techy enduro or downhill mtb style routes there will be mud, puddles, steep sections of trail where you might have to push your bike, stream crossings and of course ruts/rocks as it's the north of England and not a trail centre.
The rides on the Mills n Moors Series are a personal challenge. They are not races and there is no ‘mass start’. Riders may start at any time as they will have received the gpx route file the week before the start date.

A group social ride departs at 10.05am for those who aren’t 100% confident about following a gpx route file or reading an OS map or just want to ride with a bunch of other folk on a bike then join us. There is no fixed speed we cycle at. We will be stopping and waiting for each other and we can take turns opening the many gates!

You can enter with the following bike types: Gravel bike / Cyclocross bike / Mountain bike / E-bike. The terrain is not suitable for road bikes. A spirit of adventure is an advantage!

There are two routes from the starting line at the National Park Visitor Centre car park at Hebden Rd, Grassington, BD23 5LB:

‘Blue’ grade gravel /mtb - 33km + 600 meters of climbing
‘Red’ grade gravel / mtb - 41km + 810 meters of climbing

£10 per ride (plus £1.20 SiEntry fee) gets you a link to a field tested GPX file sent to your email a week before the ride, an embroidered cloth badge made in Leeds (1 per Series), refreshments and home made flapjacks at the pop up table between 9am - 10am and the opportunity to join a group social ride with a 10.05am depart.
